TR (Thunder)
The third dog we raised for The Seeing Eye was a handsome, good natured,
intelligent and very athletic German
Shepherd named "TR." Someone sponsored this dog and was allowed to
name him. But "TR" is the international country code for Turkey and this dog is
definitely German!
If you insert the German word for "dogs" ("HUNDE") between those two letters, you get "THUNDER."
We recently read a good book about a blind man and his guide dog titled "THUNDER DOG." They were working in the World Trade Center when
it was attacked on 9/11 and thanks to the dog, they and many others were able to get out of the building before it collapsed.
We used "TR" when giving commands, but his pet name became Thunder.

A Counterfeit Dog!
All our dogs loved the Doo Dah Parade on the Boardwalk! Thunder was especially fascinated with
thiscolorful wolf pack!
He is confused by this Basset Hound. "You have such short legs and long ears!"
TR (Thunder) returned to The Seeing Eye in Morristown for formal training on April 23.
